Mr. Rafiqul Islam, M.Sc. (Botany) with Hon's from Dhaka University in 1973. After having completion education he started his career as a Lecturer of Botany to teach the student in graduation level. Later he switched over to Pharmaceutical Industry. He made a breakthrough in the marketing of pharmaceutical products both allopathic and herbal medicine in home and abroad.

He worked in different pharmaceutical industries like May & Baker (Rhone Poulenc)- a British Company, Boehringer Ingelham - a German Pharmaceutical Company, Opsonin Chemical Industries, Pharmadesh Laboratories in different position of senior management.

Since 1990 he engaged himself with full commitment in Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh-a trust organization, as Director Marketing.

He participated in :

• Senior Management Development Programme (SMDP) under Oxford University, U.K. & and also registered for Post Graduate Course in Marketing.

• The Programme for Asian Countries Entrepreneurs (PACE) at Japan, Organized by the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS) & Ministry of International Trade & Industries, Japan (MITI).

He is the Executive Member of :

• Bangladesh Association of Scientist (Biggani Samity)
