He currently serves as the Chairman of the Social Development Foundation (SDF) and is a Member of the Hamdard Board of Trustees, contributing his expertise in governance, financial management, and institutional development.

Work experience
Dr. Muhammad Abdul Mazid served as the Former Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), where he led the country’s revenue administration and taxation reforms. His tenure was marked by efforts to modernize revenue collection systems, strengthen fiscal policy implementation, and enhance transparency within the taxation framework of Bangladesh.
In addition to his role at NBR, he served as the Former Chairman of the South Asian Federation of Exchanges and the Former Chairman of the Chattogram Stock Exchange. Through these leadership positions, he played a key role in strengthening regional financial cooperation, capital market development, and regulatory frameworks. Currently, as Chairman of the Social Development Foundation (SDF) and a Member of the Hamdard Board of Trustees, he continues to contribute to socio-economic development and institutional governance.
